Hip-Hop Label Collaborates With Marvel For New Vinyl Releases

If you love hip-hop music and have a soft spot for the Marvel Comics you’re going to be very interested to see what’s being released by the Urban Legends label.

The Vinyl Factory revealed that the hip-hop label and comic company are collaborating to re-release a number of classic albums with limited edition sleeve designs inspired by Marvel characters.

Three will be released this December, with Iron Man due to feature on the cover of 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ album, the Punisher appearing on Mama Said Knock You Out from LL Cool J, and Iron Man making another appearance, this time fighting Maestro on the cover of GZA’s Liquid Swords.

Of course if you’re going to invest in limited edition vinyl you need to make sure that your turntable is up to the job of playing it. Consider buying a funky record player to make sure that you can listen to these classic hip-hop albums in style.

If you really want to go all out, you can opt for the Deluxe Collector’s Edition, which not only gives you the LPs and album art, but also the corresponding Marvel comic book.

With Christmas just around the corner, this could be the perfect gift for a vinyl lover, or comic book lover, come the festive season.

Urban Legends isn’t the only business getting in on the vinyl revival. Disney has also recently re-released some of the soundtracks from its most famous ‘90s movies on record, with bright ‘90s-inspired covers that will look great in your record collection.
